I was born in a rural Acadian community on the rocky shores of Nova Scotia, and lived in that province for the first 20 years of my life. I later ventured out into other parts of Canada and also worked in rural areas of the Philipines for 5 years as a community health care educator, becoming much involved in the grass roots movement to revitalize the use of herbal medicines in that country. Returning to Canada, I began my career as a clinical psychologist. Apart from my formal education, it is my experience of people from many cultures and walks of life that has been my greatist teacher. I currently enjoy life and work primarily in Vancouver, BC.
